From a young age, we become mesmerized by super heroes...those that can save the day and make everything ok again. We tend to become infatuated with the thought of having extraordinary abilities that can be of good use to others. However, those very strengths are our very own weaknesses.
Often times, one would rather not focus on their own issues. Instead, they would much rather wallow in other people's sorrow and try to fix problems that do not belong to them. It's ironic that the one who probably needs the most help is themselves. The question I would like to pose is: Who saves the super hero?
I believe the conclusion that I have drawn is that no one can save a super hero but themselves. How is that to be done?? They must stop trying to save other people. So much time and precious energy is put into saving another soul. What's more exhausting is trying to save those who have no desire to save themselves. It quite literally takes all the vital force out of you.
Not to say that super heroes should stop saving the world...just be sure to save yourself first. And be more selective in those you save. Look for those who want to be saved and are willing to put forth the effort in saving themselves. Sometimes we may have the resources that others may be able to use to help themselves. I've come to realize a tell tale of whether or not you are helping the right person or if you yourself are the one who needs to be saved is if you are wishing for someone to come and save you! I mention all this to say that I will be retiring my cape for a little while. I know someone who needs saving.

Ideally, one would love to be content with the present and look to the future with great expectation. How is it that this can be achieved? You must not allow one to captivate your thoughts and your every emotion. Is that possible? Indeed.
Looking to the future with great expectation may be a bit of a challenge. It requires great faith and hope. It takes a strong mind to anticipate good when everything your surrounded by is seemingly so bad.
I assure you, once you have reached the final destination of contentment, there is nothing that can take you back into your place of gloom. You simply will never allow yourself to go back. Everything you thought you once knew seems to be falsehood.
Learn. Grow. Move on.
Yours truly,
K

the beginning of everything.

heres the start of something good.
today i'm in a frenzy. a relationship i had devoted all my time and energy to for the past year has officially come to an end. at the present time and being, all i can see is rain. however, the thing about bad weather, is that even though one hardly ever expects it, one almost always prepares for it and anticipates better days ahead.
so i'm focusing on what happens after the now.
but eventually the clouds part and the sun resumes its shining.
tomorrow i'm expects fair weather. no chance of storms.
Sincerely Yours,
j
